Introduction

We are a family owned farming business based in Jerramungup, Western Australia. We are situated in a 375mm rainfall zone in the southern wheatbelt, 450km from Perth between Albany and Esperance. We run both the SAMM and White Dorper Studs in conjunction with our commercial prime lamb and wool producing sheep enterprises and cropping. Our focus is on producing hardy sheep that perform well commercially and are suited to our WA markets and environment.

With this in mind, our stud stock are selected on a combination of visual appraisal and objective measurement using LAMBPLAN. We aim to provide our clients with the type of sheep that suit their production requirements in their environment.

All stud stock at Royston SAMM and White Dorper:

• Are objectively measured and registered with LAMBPLAN
• Are Brucellosis accredited free (OVAC 436)
• Are bred for our commercial markets
• Have full pedigrees
• Are selected both on visual traits and LAMBPLAN

In addition, Royston White Dorpers:

• Are classed according to the South African Typing System
• Are tested and negative for dermatosparaxis
